Dr. Alexander Rittner trained as a biochemist, studying at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich with stations in Mainz and Zurich, before completing his PhD and research at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main under Prof. Martin Grininger. He brings ten years of practical experience in protein engineering and is an expert in method and laboratory establishment. His specializations, from fatty acid and polyketide synthesis to enzyme kinetics and rational protein design, forms the scientific foundation behind kezbio’s technology.

Dr. Mirko Joppe studied, earned his PhD, and conducted research at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main. As kez.biosolutions‘ first employee, he brings nine years of practical experience in protein engineering and is an expert in chromatography and method development. His specialization, from fatty acid and polyketide synthesis to enzyme kinetics, natural product derivatives, and the characterization of small molecules, anchors much of the platform’s day-to-day R&D.
